Get Web installation instructions for MS Server
2003 (IIS 6.0):
1.) To display all file extensions.
a. Windows Control Panel
b. Folder Options
c. View tab
d. Advanced Settings
e. Uncheck "Hide Extensions for know file types"
f. Select "Apply"
2.) Install PageGate Server
3.) Install IIS
a. Windows Control Panel
b. Add / Remove Programs
c. Add / Remove Windows Components
d. Windows Components Wizard
e. Select "Application Server"
f. Select "Details"
g. Select "Internet Information Services"
h. Select "OK"
i. Select "Next"
j. Select "Finish"
4.) Create a Virtual Directory for Scripts in IIS
a. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
b. Expand the "local computer"
c. Expand the "Web Sites" folder
d. Select (highlight) the "Default Web Site"
e. Select "Action" - "New" - "Virtual Directory" on
the IIS Manager menu
f. "Virtual Directory Creation Wizard" Virtual Directory
Alias = "Scripts" Path = "C:\Inetpub\Scripts" Virtual
Directory Access Permissions = "Read" "Run Scripts"
"Execute" "Write"
g. Select "Next"
h. Select "Finish"
5.) Configure PageGate
a. Open PG Admin
b. Configure GetWeb (Interfaces - GetWeb - Settings)
Set Web Pages Path to "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\" Set CGI
Data Path to "C:\Inetpub\Scripts\" Select "Enabled"
"Apply" Select "Yes" to "Do you want this interface
to be enabled for ALL existing recipients and groups?"
c. Add a Carrier
d. Add a Recipient
e. Add a Group (named "abcd") Uncheck "GUI Client"
under "Enabled Services"
f. Add a Recipient to the Group "abcd"
6.) Edit PageGate Template File(s)
a. Open Windows Explorer
b. Go to "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\templates\"
c. Open "guilist.htm" with text a editor (notepad,
wordpad, etc.)
d. Edit the line: changing the "mydomain.com" to the
IP address (or NetBios machine name).
e. "Save" the changes to the template
7.) In PageGate Admin -
a. Expand Groups
b. Expand "abcd"
c. Select the "WebPage" object
d. Select the "guilist.htm" from the Template File
drop down list.
e. Check "Group List"
f. Check "Full Names"
g. "Apply"
8.) Enable running "webgate.exe" on the web server
a. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
b. Expand the "local computer"
c. Select (highlight) "Web Services Extensions"
d. Select "Action" - "Add a new Web services extension
..."
e. Extension Name = "Webgate"
f. Required Files = "C:\Inetpub\Scripts\webgate.exe"
g. Select "Set extension status to Allowed"
h. Select "OK"
i. Expand the "Application Pools" folder
j. Select (highlight) "DefaultAppPool"
k. Select "Action" - "Start"
9.) Open a Web Browser
10.) Go to the "website" http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/abcd
11.) Select a Recipient from the list
12.) Enter a "From" name or number
13.) Enter message text
14.) Select the "Send" button
