PageGate Admin Setup Transcript for Video:
Welcome to the tutorial on how to run Reports
in the PageGate Admin.
The first step is to run the PageGate Admin,
so go to your start menu, go to Programs, find
the PageGate program group, and left click on
PageGate Admin.
Once in the admin, left click on the + next to
reports.
You can do a report of all sent messages, currently
pending messages, or statistics.
You can also get a list of all carriers, recipients,
and groups within the program.
The Sent Messages, Pending Messages, and Statistics
reports can all be filtered based on Carrier,
Connector, Interface, Recipient, Sender, and Station.
The Carrier option allows you to run a report
of sent messages that have gone out to a particular
carrier, allows you to view all pending messages
for a carrier, or allows you to see the statistics
for a given carrier.
The Connector option allows you to run a report
of sent messages that have gone out to a particular
connector, allows you to view all pending messages
for a connector, or allows you to see the statistics
for a given connector.
The Interface option allows you to run a report
of sent messages that have been sent by a particular
interface, allows you to view all pending messages
an interface has generated, or allows you to see
the statistics for a given interface.
The Recipient option allows you to run a report
of sent messages that have gone out to a particular
recipient or group, allows you to view all pending
messages for a recipient or group, or allows you
to see the statistics for a given recipient or
group.
The Sender option allows you to run a report
of sent messages that have gone out from a particular
Sender, allows you to view all pending messages
sent by a sender, or allows you to see the statistics
for a given sender.
The Station option allows you to run a report
of sent that have gone out from a particular station
ID, allows you to view all pending messages scheduled
by a station ID, or allows you to see the statistics
for a given station ID.
So, for example, left click on the + next to
Sent Messages and select the Recipient section.
This report will show us the messages that have
been sent to a particular recipient or group.
The first section, Recipients, allows you to
select who you want to run the report on. You
can select all recipients (including the groups)
or a range of recipients and groups.
Below that, you can specify the date and time
range to view.
For example, I want to know all messages sent
out for the last year, so I'm going to change
the date to this time last year.
Below that, you should see the Summary, Details,
and totals Only options.
Summary will give a brief summary of information
in the report.
Details will give all information available for
the messages the report finds
Totals Only will only display the number of messages
that the report finds.
In the next section, you should see All Messages,
Good Messages, and Bad Messages.
All Messages will tell the report to include
every message, whether it was sent successfully
or not.
Good Messages will only display successful messages.
Bad Messages will only display Failed Messages.
In the next section, you can choose how you want
the report output.
You can either have the report Printed to a printer
with an available Print Preview or you can have
the report written to a file that can then be
opened in notepad, Word, or other text editor.
To the right, you should see two checkboxes:
Zero Values and Full Names
Zero Values will tell the program to include
values of Zero in the report.
Full Names will tell the program to output the
Full Names, instead of the short, recipient names
in the report.
After selecting your preferences, left click
on Print to run the report.
If you've selected to Print the report with Preview
checked, you need to select your printer, then
left click the Print button.
